I admired Dad for the way he was always there to help. Admired Mum for somehow coping bringing up 3 kids a year apart each. Yikes it was 3 of us under 2 years old at one stage.
Admired my grandmother for the way she gave back her whole life.
Even when she was diagnosed with Osteoporosis, she still did Meals-on-wheels until she couldn't drive any more. I’m now doing Meals-on Wheels in her honour.
Admired my Uncle Bruce for his charisma and fun-loving approach to life.
I enjoy cooking, keeping fit and staying healthy. Knowing exercise is the best medicine for both my body and my brain.
In recent times I’ve also realised how fortunate I’ve been in my life, and I wanted to make a difference, giving back. Doing something that resonates with me, and that makes me feel good doing it.
Which is why we founded Gifts for Kids - a charity that provides Christmas gifts for kids who wouldn't otherwise have a single present to open on Christmas day. And who wouldn't otherwise get to experience a little of the special magic of Christmas.
